Impacts were realised at two scales among two constituencies of end-users: at the macroscale decision-makers and policy advocates, and at the local scale, individual festivals. Novel documentation of the previously undervalued cumulative extent and significance of rural and regional festivals increased their prominence at the macroscale, in regional development debate.
