Making a non-drug treatment available to children with ADHD around the world
The system is highly innovative as it brings together working memory and impulse-control training, and also incorporates attention training. Further, the training is presented in a game format, to promote engagement and compliance. A series of research studies conducted in Australia and China have reported the substantial behavioural and cognitive benefits of the treatment.
Antarctic ecosystems: Climate change and other human impacts
UOW’s Antarctic research has established the only long-term monitoring of terrestrial vegetation in East Antarctica, considered “vital” by the Commonwealth Department of Environment to fulfill its obligations under the Antarctic Treaty. We have also developed endpoints for toxicity testing to ensure that the clean up of Antarctic soils can be achieved as efficiently as possible.
